Matrimony certificateHave you visited the online North Carolina Family Records collection recently? An additional 249 bible records were added to the collection yesterday.

The North Carolina Family Records collection is a collaborative project between the North Carolina State Archives and the State Library of North Carolina.  It went live in May, 2009 for the National Genealogical Society conference that was held in Raleigh, NC. Records have continued to be added since its launch.

Included in the collection are digitized bible records from the North Carolina State Archives and an obituary index covering several North Carolina newspapers.
