Beer or barbecue, anyone?

Did I get your attention?

TFamily Barbecue circa 1930she NCpedia continues to grow thanks to submissions from individuals across the state. I wanted to highlight two entries we added recently. Both are consumables, both start with “B,” both are in the title of this post.

Before receiving these entries, I knew barbecue was an important part of North Carolina’s food culture. I had no idea, however, the role beer has played or that North Carolina was a leader in the Prohibition movement of the early Twentieth Century.

So, no matter what beverage you enjoy or barbecue style you prefer, be sure to check out these entries!
