Times have changed on the web, and we all know sites don’t look or act like they used to. Ever wonder where those old sites go? Well, thanks to the State Library and State Archives, North Carolina state government sites are collected and available for access long after they disappear through the North Carolina State Government Web Site Archives. You can search for information from websites past, and even browse back and forth in time. I took these screenshots while looking at the Department of Cultural Resources web site in the Archives:
- December 1998
- October 1999
- October 2001
- July 2003
- November 2006
The Web Site Archives can sometimes be a bit confusing – just like the Web – but we’re friendly folks and always glad to help you find something if you contact us.
