New additions to the collections of the Government and Heritage Library:
Hands on the Freedom Plow: Personal Accounts by Women in SNCC, Faith Holsaert, Martha Noonan, Judy Richardson, Betty Robinson, Jean Young, Dorothy Zellner, eds. This book gathers the personal accounts of 52 women and their personal experiences in the civil rights group Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which had its origins at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina .
Thanks in part to a federal grant, these items will be available soon for check out at the Government and Heritage Library by North Carolina State Agency employees or may be borrowed through an interlibrary loan request at your local public library.
