The UNC School of Government publishes a series of digital-only bulletins that are available for free on their website. These bulletins cover topics such as community and economic development, digital government, elder law, school law, public management, social services law, and the administration of justice, among many other topics. Each issue features an in-depth article on an important issue. Back issues, as well as the latest issue, are made available and make interesting reading.
One is the Economics Bulletin. The latest issue, number 4, is entitled “Recovery — It’s Happening but Difficulties Remain,” this bulletin provides “a sense of the evolving state of the U.S. economy and where North Carolina’s economy is in relation to other states.” The condition of North Carolina’s economy is examined closely, and different scenarios are proposed for the future. This is required reading for anyone interested in the state’s financial condition.
