Hip-hop in North Carolina

NCpedia continues to expand to include a number of historical and contemporary topics.

One of the newest additions to NCpedia comes from Max Eckard, a Library Science student at North Carolina Central University. Max is graduating this May and has been interning with us this semester. He is a hip-hop enthusiast with a keen interest in North Carolina history.

“I think there are a lot of really great things about North Carolina,” said Eckard.  “Hip- hop is just one of those great things–even if it is a little less well known. Special thanks to Jason Howard at Saint Augustine’s College for his help writing it.”
