State Doc Pick of the Week: NC Scenic Byways

The N.C. Department of Transportation has designated 51 scenic byways throughout North Carolina.  Traveling these scenic byways are a great way to experience the state’s diverse beauty and culture in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont and coastal region.   For each scenic byway there is a map and route description.  Byways can vary in length from three to 173 miles, and include everything from curvy mountain roads and to ferry rides across coastal sounds.
