Macon County, North Carolina is the NC County of the Week for January 25 – 31, 2015.


Macon County, NC

Located in the North Carolina mountains Macon County was formed in 1828 from neighboring Haywood County.  The county is named after Nathaniel Macon, U.S.  senator and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.  Join us this week for a tour of the county, its people, its history, and its natural heritage!
