One year later!

On October 22, 2009, my husband and I were enjoying a delightful fall evening at the NC State Fair. We were alone and able to take our time strolling through the animal and craft exhibits. By the time we got two-thirds through the Village of Yesteryear, I started to have contractions (did I mention I was pregnant?). All that walking must have stirred things up! Thankfully things were moving slow enough that we were able to make it across the fairgrounds and back to our car without any incident. A couple of days later, we welcomed Evan into our lives! Now we have a couple of really great reasons to go to the fair every year - to celebrate Evan's arrival and share NC's wonderfully rich heritage with him. This picture is of Evan at one year old enjoying his first corn on the cob. We all agreed that it was the best we've ever had.
